Exporting to TRADOS Translators Workbench

Use File | Export Project menu option to export terms from the Project file and store them in a SDL Trados Translator Workbench file. This file can be stored locally or remotely on a server supported by SDL Trados TM Server.

You can select the fields from your Project that are to be exported:-

	File name: Check this radio button to include the name of the file that a string came from in your exported data.
	Resource Type: Select this option to include the string resource type in your exported data.
	ID: Select this option to include the ID (if available) of a string during Project Export.
	Memo : Click this option to include the contents of Memos in your exported data.

Some of these fields, while selected, may not be exported to Trados Translator Workbench or SDL TM Abbreviation: Translation Memory Server. This is due to a combination of user privileges and the configuration of these individual applications. For more information on the compatibility of these fields with SDL TM technology, please refer to the SDL User Guide.

Alchemy provides a mechanism to filter the content of a Project prior to export.

	All Segments: Select this option if you want all strings in a Project TTK file to be extracted to a Trados Translators Workbench file.
	Translated Segments: Select this option to export only translated strings into a Trados Translators Workbench file.
	Untranslated Segments Select this option to export untranslated segments into a Trados Translators Workbench file.
	Flagged Segments: Select this option to export flagged segments into a Trados Translators Workbench file.
	Custom: Select this option to export segments with a custom status.

Additional options that can be selected are:-

	Remove Duplicate Strings: Select this option to ignore all duplicate strings during a Project Export.
	Remove Lead/Trail Spaces: Select this option to remove all spaces from the start and end of each string.
	Remove ampersands: Use this option to remove all hotkey characters from exported strings.
	Exclude locked/frozen strings: Use this option to ignore all strings that are locked or frozen during a Project Export operation.

	File: Use this option to extract your terminology to a locally hosted SDL Trados Translation Memory file. Typically this file will be stored on locally or on a shared network drive.
	Server: Select this option to extract your terminology to a remotely hosted SDL Trados Translation Memory Server. For more information on connecting to a Trados Translation Server, see Connecting to an SDL TM Server.
	Source language: As a SDL Trados Translator Workbench file is multilingual, use this option to define the source language of the terms being extracted.
	Target language: As a SDL Trados Translator Workbench file is multilingual, use this option to define the target language of the terms to be extracted.
