How Alchemy Layout Manager works?

Alchemy Layout Manager creates new layouts for localized applications by analyzing the layout of the original application user interfaces. Once a localised layout is generated, it is then tested by Alchemy Layout Manager to determine how good the layout is. Any generated layouts that have a high probability of layout problems will be flagged and suitable error messages displayed in the Results Toolbar.

This ensures that localization engineers can process thousand of dialogs in a single session and only have to check dialogs that have a high probability of error.

Owner Drawn Controls

By default, dialogs containing resources with the Owner Drawn attribute are not resized by the Layout Manager. To include those resources, go to FILE > Options > Application and tick the option.

When the checkbox is ticked, during Layout manager the owner drawn controls are considered in the calculation. When at least one of such controls is found, a message is added to the output in the Results window warning that at runtime the dialog might appear differently.

While if the checkbox is unticked (default state) and an owner drawn control is found, a similar message is added to the Results window, suggesting that some controls will not be included in the Layout Manager calculations...
