Translating LNG Files

You can customize certain text in the user interface for RoboHelp, WebHelp Pro, WebHelp, JavaHelp, Oracle Help and HTML Help outputs. The LNG file stores UI text that appears in the various help viewers and this is translated using the String Editor.

Here is an example of a RoboHelp WebHelpPro help system. The User Interface is currently in English. To translate this, the LNG file needs to be localized using Alchemy CATALYST and then included in the build for the help system.

In HTML Help systems, the end user's operating system must be in the same language as that used in your project. Otherwise, the end user's operating system will override the language specified in your project. The dictionary and index sorting are not affected in the end user's system.
