Open a Catalyst Package (*.catpack) |
A Catalyst Package is a compressed archive that contains all the files needed to start translating a project. As these are compressed files, they can be conveniently attached to emails or placed on FTP servers.
When opening a *.catpack, Catalyst presents the Instructions page first. Any instructions added by the creator of the *.catpack are displayed.
The following tabs are presented listing the other files contained in the *.catpack.
Project Files
The files in each of these tabs are selectable lists allowing the user the opportunity to choose which files to use. A selection can be made for which Catalyst Project Files (TTK) to open, which TMs to make active and which glossary files to attach.
TM Files
Any selected Translation Memories are automatically added to the list of Active TMs. The TMs tab displays the already active TMs in case any conflicts would occur.
Glossaries
The selected Glossary files will be automatically attached in Catalyst for the translation process. The Glossaries tab displays already attached glossaries in case any conflicts would occur.
A destination folder must be provided so Catalyst can decompress the contents to that location and work can begin.
You are now ready to start translating your client files.

As a translators, you can use either the Translator Pro edition or the free Translator/LITE Edition to work on .catpack files. Though if using the free Translator/LITE edition, valid TMs are restricted to the Alchemy formats (*.tm and *.ttk). |
