Use Leverage Expert to pre-translate your project using a Translation Memory. This will reduce the cost of localization and reduce the translation cycle for this project.

Leverage Project

  1. Click on the root of the Project TTK and select Leverage Expert  from the EXPERTS Tab.

  2. Select Active Object and use the Choose TM and MT Sources section to define the translation sources for the leverage operation.

  3. Click on Options tab and click off Use Fuzzy Match.. We do not want to fuzzy match the file at this stage as we're only interested in the 100% perfect matches.

  4. Press OK to start the leverage process.

Use the Statistics Pane to see how much translation has been applied to your Project TTK when the Leverage Expert finishes.

How does Leverage Work

See Leverage Options for detail on specific settings.

You can use multiple TM sources at the same time.  Catalyst searches for the best match through all sources.

Catalyst looks for a perfect match (text and ID match)

If no perfect match is found, a 100% match is sought

This expert then searches for a fuzzy match above threshold

If none of the above are found, then the string remains untranslated.

If a Machine Translation source is provided, MT is applied to any untranslated segments.

Catalyst prioritizes the TMs according to the order they are presented in the TM source list.

You can apply a penalty to any TM source by selecting it and clicking the penalty column, or by pressing the Penalty button.
