Create a Translation Toolkit

Alchemy CATALYST can recognize and process over 100 different file types. These files are commonly used in the development of web sites, online help systems and software applications. In the vast majority of cases, preparing a file for translation is accomplished simply by creating a Project TTK and inserting files into it.

Creating a Project TTK

  1. Launch Alchemy CATALYST on your desktop and select File - New or click on the Project Toolbar.

  2. Right click the root The Project Title is referred to as the Root of a Project TTK File. All files and folders are inserted relative to the Root of your Project TTK File. of the Project Your project is where you manage and organize all the files that are to be localised. TTK and select Insert Files from the popup menu.

  3. Navigate to the \SAMPLES and click on catalyst.exe  to insert all files into your Project TTK file.

  4. Click File - Save As and save your Project TTK to your desktop. Call this file phases.ttk.

  5. Repeat these steps for each type of web site, online help and software application file that needs to be translated.

There is a sample file called phases.ttk stored in the \SAMPLE folder. Select File - Open Project from the main menu to open this in Alchemy CATALYST. This project contains a software application, a web site and an online help system.
