Translator Note is an annotation or comment users can attach to a segment. They can be used to communicate between stakeholders in the project. It is particularly suited for Translators & Reviewers to add a comment when they are unsure of the accuracy of the translation or they need more contextual or technical information to complete the best translation possible.

Having two separate fields for Memos and Translator notes gives users more flexibility to organise and communicate information regarding individual segments. Paired with the ability to sort the String list by Memo or Translator Note, Engineers, Translators, Reviewers and Project Managers alike can concentrate on strings needing particular attention.

Adding Translator Note

To apply a Translator Note, select the segment in the Workspace window and edit the Translator Note field in the Properties window.

Once a Translator Note is entered, an icon will be displayed in the string list under the Translator Note item column.
