Labels are brief annotations which can be attached to any segment. Think of price tags on articles in a shop, or the "made in" label on goods. Using labels is a means to categorize segments within your projects. You can setup as many labels as you wish and apply as many as you like to any segment. They facilitate the ability to triage or filter segments based on those labels.

 

 

Adding a label

Before you can add a Label to one or more segment, it must be created in the Label manager.

Step 1

Select one or more segments. It is possible to multi-select segments in the string list holding the Shift or CTRL key.

Step 2

Right click the selected segment(s) > Labels > select the desired Label to apply.

If the desired label is already added to a segment, this action will remove it.

Right click the selected segment(s) > Labels > All Labels...

The Labels dialog opens. There you can see any Label already applied to one or more of the segments, they have the check box ticked.

Checking a tickbox will add this label to all selected segments.

While unchecking a label will remove the label for any segment on which the label is applied.

Go to OBJECT ribbon > Labels > Manage Labels
