What's new in this Catalyst 2023 release? |
Here is a quick overview to the new or enhanced functionality to the ezScript Commands for CATALYST 2023.
New command GetStats, will collate statistical information on TTK files and can be output to the console of a log file.
Export and Import all images within the project.
Fix Lead/Trail Spaces automatically removing or adding spaces at the segment's extremities in the translations, to match the original.
Export all duplicates from one or more TTK projects and Leverage the translated duplicates back.
The output of the Validate Expert report has been updated to .xlsx from .xml. The /C and /V switches for Compact and Verbose report formats are no longer relevant for this command. The output will always be a Verbose type report.
A new switch, TMUtils now allows to remove keywords from an entire Alchemy TM file.
Revert TTK Settings can now process files with the FromFolder and FileListFile.
Apply Status can now process files with the FromFolder and FileListFile.
Clean Up can now process files with the FromFolder switch and FileListFile.
Validate can now exclude certain segments which have a label associated with it.
Leverage can now process files with the FromFolder and FileListFile.
Point to a TTK file or a folder of TTK files to Save Up the TTK version to the current version of Catalyst.
With an Analysis, the wordcount output can now also be saved to a CSV file.
It is now possible to extract individual glossary files for each file in the TTK using the /Individual switch.
New functionality to /Check a TTK file to see if it can be optimized and /Compact it if a detection determines that it contains any old, unused data from the TTK file.
CatPack creation has been added to the command line.
Statistics report can now be generated per TTK when using a folder location and the /R command.
Comparison Expert added to the command line.
When inserting files and folders, the /H switch now excludes hidden files and folders.
When inserting using the FromFolder mechanism, you can specify files or folders of a certain mask to exclude through the additional switches ExcludeFileTypes and Folders_to_Exclude.

For GlobalLink Enterprise there are now two new specific commands, SubmitPD and RetrievePD, to allow submission and retrieval of projects into the workflow system.
For GlobalLink TM Server you can now Leverage from and Cleanup to GlobalLink TMs.
It is now possible to delete a specific file or folder from the TTK using the tag /CAT_DELETE. You can specify the exact path to the file/folder or choose to delete all matching occurrences based on the syntax used.
It is now possible to rename a specific file or folder from the TTK using the tag /CAT_RENAME. You can specify the exact path to the file/folder or choose to rename all matching occurrences based on the syntax used.
You can change the status of segments within the TTK by filtering on a segment status or property and applying another status. Click here for more information.
When inserting files using the FileList.txt option, you can now specify a relative path which will be resolved at runtime. Using the RelativeTo switch, Catalyst will resolve the folder/file paths by amalgamating both the directory listed in the RelativeTo path and the files listed in the Filelist.txt.
When inserting files from a folder location with the /M tag, it is now possible to mask which files types should be inserted from a particular folder. This is achieved using the FileTypes tag with a value like "*.html,*.txt" or "*.dll,*.exe" or "*RC*.*"
Alignment will also adhere to the FileTypes switch and you can align just a certain set of file types from a folder location e.g. *.flprj.
It is possible to extract only a certain set of files with a specific extension from a TTK using the FileTypes switch.
It is possible to extract a text file with a specific file name and set the encoding of text files using the TextFileEncoding switch.
TTK Properties with the /P tag can be set to allow/disallow the TTK to be used with Machine Translation or prevent users from locking/unlocking segments within the TTK. Click here for more information.
You can pass an SNK file to use during extraction using the SNKFile switch.
When inserting folders which contain .NET files, you can now specify if you want to also include the language file resources using the /.Netlangfiles switch.
You can now output a list of all file names that are contained within a specific TTK file using the /GetFileNames switch.
It is now possible to set the Project Title when creating the TTK file.
Layout Manager settings are now written to the user profile information and can be loaded again when managing user profiles.

Here is a quick overview to the new or enhanced functionality to the ezScript Commands for Catalyst 11.0.
You can perform Find and Replace operations within the command line using the FIND and REPLACE tags. Click here for more information.
When setting or changing the Source and Target languages for you TTK file, you can now use to .NET Framework code as well on the command line, instead of having to specify the full name. Click here for an example or on the Language Codes for the language short codes.
You can redirect the Catalyst output to a specific batchlog instead of using the default ezScriptBatchLog.txt which is saved to the Public folder. This is achieved using the tag ezLogFile: and is available on every Catalyst command.
If something is wrong in your command line, you can debug this now using the /write tag. The batch command which was passed to catalyst will be written in the batchlog.
When changing the Dialog font of DLLs/EXEs, you can now pass the /ALL command to perform the font change on all files found in the TTK file. Click here for more information.
JobIDs can now be alphabetical as well as numerical.

Project Division Expert is new to the command line via Divide and Merge commands.
Analysis Expert can now use a TMListFile to perform and Analysis against multiple TMs.
Keywords can be applied to an already existing TTK file using the keywords tag.
It is possible to flip the layout of dialogs for Right-to-Left languages.
