Working with Glossary Files |
Select the Glossary Source tab on the Translators Toolbar to open a glossary and use it for terminology lookups.
Several glossary formats such as TMX, XML, TXT and SDL MultiTerm databases are supported.
Any number of these formats can be used simultaneously to provide detailed terminology lookups during translation.
The order in which glossaries appear in this list is important. The first glossary in the list will be searched first for matching terminology, then the second and so on.
As each match is located, it will be displayed in the Reference Window.
Terms that are found in the glossary are highlighted with a red overline.

In addition to this the term and its translation are displayed in the Glossary reference pane.
Use the [CTRL]+[ALT] key combination in conjunction with the cursor arrows to select terms from the Glossary reference pane located on the bottom right of the work area.
The content of the Reference Window is always sorted in the same order in which the glossaries have been designated in this lookup list. |
XML-based glossaries that are encoded with UTF-8 are not currently supported, so prior to using them they should be converted to UTF-16. |
